about

written by Chad McCullough

"Tunnel Mountain was named for the small mountain in the middle of the Canadian Rockies, near Banff. It's a tiny hill compared to the majestic slopes around it, but still no easy task to walk up. The tune is an interweaving of melodies, and counter lines, and I tried to maintain space throughout the composition even though the melodies get pretty busy at the end. This was originally written for a band I play in called 'Tunnel Six' where I wanted to showcase the band's interplay. I knew it'd be a success with the SJCE for that very reason, and was very honored to have the chance to arrange it for this project!"
